select YOUR textbook - discovering french bleu (1) blanc (2) or rouge (3)
after you register they will ask you for an activation code:
french 1: 2633296-10 (the 10 will go in the second blank)

french 3: 2633296-30
you should be able to click on the book and get into the online textbook and the flashcards. enjoy!!!

AP / French 3 Lab sept. 10
TODAY: you will do these activities then comment on this blog with your scores for each, keep a microsoft word document open to take notes in then copy it into the comment box. Bonne Chance!
1. Log onto the BBC Languages French page http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/french/gauge/ for a 12-question multiple choice test to get a basic idea of your French level. Although it is not an exact assessment tool, the site notes that the test will give you an “approximate indication of your knowledge.” Include your score in your comments. You can take the test again for a better score if you wish! :)
2 Visit the ESL Language Studies Abroad site http://www.esl-languages.com/en/study-abroad/online-tests/french-test/index.htm for a more in-depth multiple choice test comprising 40 questions designed to test your grammar skills. At the conclusion of the test you will be assigned a level from beginning to advanced. include your score in your comments.
3 Test your comprehension skills by logging onto Radio France International’s (RFI) French language page http://www.rfi.fr/lffr/pages/001/accueil_exercice_ecoute.asp to listen to extracts of French radio reports followed by multiple choice questions (also in French). Write down what you listened to and how you did on the quiz. Do at least 2 of them!
4 Grow your vocabulary by logging onto http://www.french-flashcards.com/ In addition to interactive flashcards, the site also offers written drills to enhance your comprehension and writing skills. you will need to sign up for free, and they will send you daily emails for practice! try some and comment on what you think?
5 AP only!!! Log on to http://www.test-my-french.com/ for a comprehensive test of your written, reading and oral comprehension skills. Composed of seven sections and conducted entirely in French. try it and comment with your score!

FRENCH ONE exam review
Today you have a couple of assignments - keep this blog open for your instructions!
DO THESE ACTIVITIES or you will be shut down. at the end of class I will give you an arcade website to play IF you have done all the work.
1. YOU HAVE 40 MINUTES TO Create a French speaking avatar for yourself! go to http://www.voki.com/
don't register - just click on CREATE at the top
go through the faces, clothes, backgrounds, etc and create an avatar for yourself
for speech, select "text to speech"
type in your writing prompt for the exam you did on the review last class - 5 sentences about yourself
select FRENCH for the language
select the voice you want - experiment with different voices
click play to hear how you sound!
click on PUBLISH - X out the register screen, you don't have to do this
select SEND TO FRIEND

FRENCH TWO EXAM REVIEW

you can choose the face, hair, clothes, bling, background, etc
use the text to speech to make your avatar talk - have them say "hello, my name is ... and a couple of other things about yourself IN FRENCH! be sure to select FRENCH and then pick the gender you want
when you are done click "submit" (x out the screen that wants you to register) then click on EMAIL to friend and email it to me at elisabeth.howell@fbisd.k12.tx.us
2. to review for your exam, go to www.quia.com/shared/french and play the games:

parts of the body and parts of the body vocab - this is also on the exam
