1. take a couple of french tests to see how you do! go to

select all 50 questions, take the test, and write down your score.
2. http://www.lemonde.fr/videos/
scroll through the french news videos and pick THREE to watch. write down the title of the video and a brief summary. you might have to watch it more than once! test your listening skills!
COMMENT - comment below with your name, score on the test, names of videos you watched, and summaries for your grade today.

French 2 Trip Assignment Sept. 20/23
You are going to Paris! Plan a trip to Paris for TWO DAYS. Complete the info on the handout and turn in at the end of class. FIND WEBSITES FOR:
1. Hotel - check room rates
2. Restaurants for each day - SIX different places - be sure to find places that have a menu so you can estimate the cost for a meal - LIST what you are going to eat and the price
3. Places to go / things to do - 5 things EACH DAY. Write down the cost if there is one, some might be free!
4. FOUR things to buy - write down the name of the store/place, what you are buying, and the cost. BE SURE it is an actual store, NOT just a website.
EXTRA CREDIT: find a high school in France or Belgium that has a decent website. COMMENT below this post with the website and your name for extra points. You can't use a website someone else has already said!!! reminder: "high school" in france is "lycee."

FRENCH 2 TIMELINE ASSIGNMENT
Today you will do all your research for your timeline on a famous french person.
1. go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_French_people and choose a person from the list. YOU MUST COME SIGN UP FOR YOUR PERSON - NO ONE CAN DO THE SAME PERSON!
2. Start researching your person and take notes in English on the worksheet.
1. EVENTS - things they DID (actions) can include dates/years if available
2. DESCRIPTIONS - what they were, used to do, looked like, character, personality traits
Turn in worksheet at end of class today for a daily grade.
If you have time, begin collecting photos to use in your timeline - save to your hard drive. DO NOT print any photos today.

French One Trip Assignment
You will plan a trip to Paris on the internet!
1. go to powerpoint / publisher
2. on the internet, find these places to visit in paris, france:
a hotel
a restaurant
a cafe
2 musee
2 monuments
a store - to go shopping
a cinema (you will choose a movie that's showing today)
4. NEXT you will create your trip - add ONE PHOTO for each place
5. ADD TEXT in FRENCH for each place:
Je vais a l' / au....... a
nd what you are going to DO there: Je vais manger... (eat) je vais regarder (see/watch) je vais dormir (sleep) ... and finish the sentence. Je vais acheter... (buy)
Find something to see/eat/watch at each place on the internet.
6. SAVE your trip - play the slideshow to see how it turns out!

Francais III lab assignment

1. finish magazine layouts and PRINT - should be neatly put together and stapled.
2. go to www.epals.com and sign up for an account.
3. email the person you are assigned EN FRANCAIS and print a copy of the email screenshot to turn in for credit. You will need to email your pen pal ONCE every three weeks (at least) for a grade and bring me the letter. Email me a copy of any letters you receive so we can read them in class!
4. Research the town of Redon, France - for next class have at least ONE interesting fact to share with the class for a grade! If you find pictures email them to me so we can look at them. The school is Lycee Marcel Callo (we think!) google the school as well - what did you find out? how are they similar to HHS? different?
5. Done? go to www.quia.com/shared/french and play the games for indirect and direct object pronouns for your TEST next week! HOW: click on "subcategory" and select indirect object pronouns and direct object pronouns. watch out - they are tricky!
